A couple stand and admire the beautiful view of the coast. In an African camp, some men shave their faces. Local people then cook some food on an open fire. A white man rides a horse while local people follow him on foot, carrying his belongings. The film ends with brief shots of a traditional African ceremony.

Elizabeth sat in her pram with a book and her toys then in the garden holding flowers before being held shoulder high by her father. Next we see Elizabeth with her grandparents and playing with her nanny. Elizabeth sat on her mother's knee then playing with her toys and a bowl of water. Mary feeding Elizabeth and giving her a drink from a cup. The film ends with a look at the flower-beds and the gardener stood in the greenhouse doorway.

Wedding guests arrive and pose for the camera before walking up a red carpet to the church. The bridesmaids arrive carrying boquets of flowers followed by the bride and her father in the wedding car. The bride and groom are joined by the rest of the wedding party to pose for the wedding photographer. The happy couple depart under a hail of confetti before posing for more photos, The guests include a man in army officer uniform.

Wedding guests arrive by car, the men in morning suits and top hats. The bride gets out of the wedding car and poses for photos followed by underexposed shots of the happy couple. At the reception the wedding party pose for photos in the halls grounds while the other guests chat, drink and smoke. On a windy day guests arrive for Audrey Smith's wedding. Underexposed shots of the bride and groom posing for photos are followed by members of the wedding party walking past the camera.

Workplace scenes. The staff are having a get-together in their workplace. They are served with hot food from large vats and they pour themselves glasses of beer from a table loaded with bottles. They sit around and eating, drinking and chatting and some lark around for the camera. There is film projection equipment in the room and they watch a film after they have eaten, and we see clips of the commercial films that they are watching. We then see scenes from the office. We see the staff working at their desks, typing and writing. We also see a lady at a telephone switchboard and two women working what looks to be a machine that duplicates documents.

Footage of the Keen wedding at Alderly Parish Church 1949. The bride and groom exit the church watched by guests and photographs are taken. There a brief shots of wedding guests including Mary Brickhill and we see the newlyweds exit the wedding reception under confetti before departing in the wedding car with a man sat on the rear of the vehicle.

Rose Queen processions are seen passing through the villages, and people are seen preparing and eating afternoon tea in marquees. The family is seen on holiday visiting Stratford-upon-Avon, Bournemouth (in 1949) and Stonehenge and there are scenes from a caravan holiday in Anglesey in 1951, including shots of Caernarfon Castle. Scenes on the Manchester Ship Canal (believed to be at Salford). As the camera travels along the canal, several ships are pictured, including the 'Pencarrow', 'Manchester Regiment', 'Nigaristan' and a vessel from Sukhumi in the Soviet Union. Crew members are seen at work, with some painting the side of a ship, and buildings and cranes on the quayside feature in the background. Parades of service personnel featuring civic dignitaries, youth groups, civilians and war veterans through the streets of Burnley. There is footage of marching policemen, members of the Auxiliary Fire Service and sea cadets. The mayor and town clerk lead a line of men and women in civilian dress. A procession moves up Todmorden Road before the film ends with soldiers, veterans and sea cadets arriving at St. Peter's Church.
