Mr Lomax, the games teacher, discusses tactics and poses with the team for a group photograph. The second half of the film features scenes from a football match held at Burnden Park Stadium on the 5th April 1952. The Holy Infant's senior team win the George Fell cup, by beating Sunning Hill 3 : 2. Jimmy Ginty scores the winning goal ten minutes before the end of the match. Sheep are hand-sheared and marked and their fleeces are rolled, collected and loaded onto the back of a truck. Finally, the sheep are herded into a pen and dipped. Also contains shots of a woman riding a horse down a farm track and through the farmyard. We then people sat at outside tables taking tea at Brighstone Tea Gardens on the Isle of Wight. There are shots of Tintern Abbey and of the Lynton Court Hotel in Bournemouth. There are London street scenes, the roads are busy with traffic. There are snowy street scenes in what looks to be a northern location, we see customers visiting Brenton's corner shop in the snow. There are scenes from a lido, and then we see an elderly man and woman gardening. The film ends with scenes from an agricultural show. There are cattle and horse shows, and a motorbike display team put on a show where various stunts are performed. | |||
