Leyland Motors employees visit London - they arrive by steam train, and then crowd into charabancs to drive through the city. A life size model of a lion, complete with wagging tail, is seen on the roof of a Leyland Lioness 1927 All Weather Coach. The motorcade drives into Trafalgar Square - the model is carried across the square, attracting a crowd of onlookers.

'The People of the Lake' tells the story of a group of lake dwellers living in the Bronze Age - A boy scout falls asleep while reading a book in a field - the dream sequence includes scenes of the lake dwellers weaving, spinning pottery, making weapons and fighting with an enemy tribe - the scout is then woken up by a group of friends.

A train journey through the Hex River Valley, Kimberley market square, streetscenes in Johannesburg and at the Zoo. Views of Government House, Pretoria and of Durban. There are scenes of rickshaws, bullock wagons and kaffirs on the trip back to Capetown. The T.S.S. Nestor in harbour at Capetown and views of Capetown and Seapoint from on board ship.
