[BOATS AND BATHS]

Two brothers are seen playing in a garden, with a tricycle and somersaulting on the grass. We then cut to views of a harbour in Wales, the boys are seen playing at the waters edge with a moored motorboat, and with their mother in a larger boat, fishing on a lake. We then see the smallest boy, Steven, leaving the house for Cassel Fox Infants School in Salford. Final scenes of the two boys in the bath at home, splashing each other and playing with toy boats.
 
 
 
[DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION]

The film opens on the demolition of houses and shops in Stretford. Later a crane can be seen lifting a truck out of a ditch. We see a high rise building that is under construction. A group of men in suits wearing hard hats stand on top of the high rise building, having some drinks then later some of them pour some concrete. Exterior shots of an empty Old Trafford football ground followed by shots of supporters walking to the stadium. We see shots of the various shops that are closing down to make way for the new Stretford Arndale shopping mall. The opening of the Municipal Computer Centre followed by the opening of Osprey Court flats by the mayor with views from the top. The film ends with brief shots of the reconstruction of the footbridge over Bridgewater canal.

Brief views of a woman with two mice - followed by Greenwood family members in the countryside with children and dogs. A LNER steam engine crosses Shade Arches in Todmorden and there are scenes from a wedding in Morecambe. Brief views of Oxenhope station in Yorkshire, then vintage cars, lorries, fire engines and coaches are seen driving through Todmorden on the Annual Commercial Vehicle Rally from Manchester to Harrogate, out in the country and at a rally. The film ends with two children playing outside the family's soft drinks factory, T Greenwood & Sons Ltd.

Family scenes featuring Sara Jane and Christine Hodkinson as babies and young children. Opens with footage of baby Jane with her parents and grandparents, in her pram and high chair and in the garden. As Jane gets older, baby Christine appears and features alongside her sister and wider family in further domestic scenes. Mr Hodkinson mows the lawn and visitors sit round the table for Christmas tea. Also includes shots of the Queen's visit to Werneth Low in 1968, where she plants a sycamore tree. A compilation of scenes from the Pink family. There are family scenes filmed in the garden, a large family group stand around and pose for photos and we see a baby with his Tri-ang baby walker. We see him out on the street too, walking with his walker for the camera. We see the same boy later when he is a couple of years older, he plays in the garden with is Tri-ang double decker bus and other toys. There is a children's birthday party. The children wear party hats and are served with pots of jelly, there is a birthday cake with 'Happy Birthday Graham' written on it in icing. The children later play in the garden. We see a family visit to the zoo where we see various animals. There is a trip to the beach on a cold day, and we see the little boy wrapped up in his coat building sandcastles. The film ends with scenes from a traction engine rally.

A compilation of scenes from the Hopwood Family. We see domestic scenes from at home, both inside and outside the family home. There are also family daytrips, including to Blackpool and Manchester Airport. There are scenes from local processions, and of a warehouse where we see fish being packed in ice. There are Christmas scenes, we see the Christmas decorations being put up and the family sat around on Christmas day opening their presents. Later the family sit together and eat food from a buffet.

The film opens with scenes of children playing in a stream, the adults sit on the side and help the youngest ones. A man with a tattooed chest pretends to throw one of the women in. There are then scenes of a hovercraft vehicle in a field. Next we see scenes of Blackpool sea front, there are shots of a flock of seagulls. Teenage boys and young men in suits mess about on the beach. We then see the 'Beach Beauty and Holiday Fashion Show'. Models parade on the catwalk while the spectators watch from deck chairs. There are scenes of fairground rides. There follow scenes from Rhyl, we see children bouncing on trampolines and having donkey rides. There are scenes from the beach, a woman rides a horse in the sea, people fly a kite and children play in the sea. We then see children on fairground rides, including the Peter Pan Railway. The film ends with scenes of David Shepard's wedding. We see the guests arrive and then the wedding party pose together after the wedding.

Film shot in filmmaker, Eric Wainwright's, own home. There are shots of the exterior of the house, and a close up of a bird perched on the chimney. We see birds in flight over the house. There are shots inside the house of a budgie ringing the bell in his cage and later playing on a table top with a toy bird. Mr Wainwright films his reflection in the mirror and there are shots of a jug of flowers and ornaments on the mantelpiece. There are scenes filmed in the garden. We see close up shots of flowers and of fish and lilies in the pond. There a brief shots of the exterior of the mill and of a rainbow over the house.

A trip to Chester Zoo. Two small boys are seen walking round the zoo with their family and looking at the animals. There are scenes of the zoo and of the family walking around amongst the other visitors. We see exotic birds, gorillas, orang-utans, camels, giraffes, lionesses, sea lions, and polar bears. We then see scenes from a farm. A cat toys with a mouse before the mouse escapes and the cat chases it. We then see a farmer letting cows out of the field and and a small boy in a field with some hens. We see a mother and her two children in a field with sheep and cows, and then the children with a horse. The children play with the horse and sit a cat on its back. We then see more horses with their foals, one of the horses feeds her foal.

The film opens with summer scenes in the garden of people wearing bathing costumes, sitting in deck chairs and drinking tea. There are shots of birds feeding We see shots of swans on a stream. We then a see vintage racing cars race, probably at Oulton Park. We see family scenes at the racetrack and shots of a little girl picking buttercups and then playing ball with a little boy. The film ends with scenes of donkeys in a field.

The film opens with David Worthington standing in his doorway in regular clothes, he then appears dressed in his wedding suit by the car. He and his party arrive at the church, followed by the guests and then the bridal party. There follow scenes from after the wedding. Confetti is thrown and the party pose for photographs. There are then brief shots of men from the wedding party getting into rowing boats on a lake, and of the wedding car leaving.

ST. MATTHEW'S RIDE TO YORK

The pupils and teachers of St. Matthew's school go on a day trip to York. They can be seen visiting the Shambles and York Minster followed by a boat ride. At the school sports day, the children take part in various races such as egg and spoon and three-legged race. In the next scene, we see a procession followed by the crowning of the new Rose Queen by Miss Summer. Afterwards, there is maypole dancing, a magician performing tricks and live music. During a visit to Chester Zoo, the children see a variety of animals including lions and polar bears. On 'Rose Queen's Day', children and parents attend a garden fete and look around the various stalls. Speeches are given followed by the crowning of the new Rose Queen, Cheryl Wendrenski.
