[BLACKPOOL CHAMPIONSHIP DOG SHOW]

Film of Afghan Hounds being shown at a dog show at the Oval, Stanley Park, Blackpool. The dogs are seen being groomed before the show, being walked around the arena and being inspected by the judges. The final of the show is also seen, with other breeds, and the Mayor presents the winners with rosettes and trophies.

Scenes from Altrincham CHA's [Countryside Holidays Association] Halloween party. The guests are seen in fancy dress, with three winners being chosen for the best. Club members are also seen on a CHA holiday to the Lake District in March 1967, walking near Easdale Tarn and painting near a river.

MAKING A SLAB POT AND DECORATING WITH SLIP

Two potters, Harold and D Thornton, are shown making a slab pot, decorating it and then firing it in a kiln. Following a shot of a finished slab pot, a pot is designed, and the clay slabs are created. The slabs are joined together one at a time and sealed. There are shots of the assembled pot being embellished, glazed and painted with a design. The film concludes with the slab pot being placed in a kiln alongside other creations, fired, and the finished product being displayed to the camera. The 3rd Barrow-in-Furness (Grammar School) Scout Troop are seen at Great Tower Scout camp - hill walking, playing in the snow, making fires, cooking and making tea. Scenes from a youth hostelling and hiking trip are followed by another camping trip at Low Yewdale. The scout group are seen on a tour of Northern Ireland - camping, sight-seeing and swimming.

The Hodkinson family at home in New Mills and on holiday. Young Jane is seen at home with visitors, in the garden and in the park. After scenes of a family holiday in Pembrokeshire, featuring rural and beach scenes, Jane is pictured at home with her presents at Christmas. The family welcome their new baby Christine and the grandparents come to visit. After shots of Jane and her mother in the garden, the film concludes with holiday scenes in and around Colwyn Bay, including a visit to a zoo and a falconry centre. [KINGSWAY TUNNEL - CONSTRUCTION WORK]

Scenes of the construction of the Kingsway road tunnel between Liverpool and Wallasey. Views of a large area of cleared land in Liverpool are followed by views of a tunnelling machine on the construction site. A digger is seen at work in the Wallasey tunnel approach, and there are views of the entrance to the tunnel.

A woman smokes, reads a Cook's Transatlantic holiday brochure and takes some 'pills.' She takes a 'trip' to New York. There are out of focus shots of New York streets, pedestrians, skyscrapers, parks, and a there is a panoramic view of New York's skyline. People watch the city from a viewing platform, and the city is lit up at night with street lights, car headlights, and neon signs. The woman wakes from her 'trip,' and winks at the camera.

Compilation reel of family and local footage, including two Whit Walk processions through the centre of Warrington; leisure and holiday scenes – children at a boating pool, family members in the garden and on the beach, Conway castle seen from a boat. The reel ends with scenes from a children’s fancy dress parade and competition at an open-air event. Prizes are awarded, including one to a child dressed as a Dalek.

THE OLD CORN MILL

Scenes from the reconstruction of the old water mill in Nether Alderley in Cheshire, beginning with a look at other historic buildings in the village. The film then records some of the remedial work done by Dr Cyril Boucher and his colleagues, repairing the old water wheels and resharpening the mill stones, so the water flows through the flumes, and the machinery operates once more, bringing the mill back to life.

The Stark children dressed for the Whit Walk carrying baskets of flowers, they get into a car then join the walk which is underexposed. Mothers carrying babies exit a church followed by a baby girl being washed in a washing up bowl in a kitchen then being fed in a high chair. Dawn Heather's christening party with adults drinking tea and a group of children sat around a table laden with party food. Next we see the Stark children in the bath and then put to bed followed by beach scenes with Dawn playing with a ball. A pig and her piglets in a muddy field are followed by the children paddling in the sea.
 
 
 
[HOLCOMBE HUNT; CHRISTMAS PARTY; A WEDDING]

The Holcombe hunt are seen holding up traffic the riding through fields in the distance. Christmas party scenes, the family gather together for the Christmas buffet. In the next scene guests arrive at the church soon followed by the bridesmaids and bride. The bride and groom exit the church and have photographs taken.

The Wintrobe family are pictured at the beach, eating ice cream, sunbathing, reading (a page in a magazine is shown, 'Personally yours'). The two girls play with buckets and spades. An exterior shot of the Grand Hotel is followed by views around the area - people are seen playing golf, children sailing toy boats and paddling in a pond. Finally the family are seen sitting in a car and waving, sand dunes and beach huts in the background.

Lots of outdoor activities including playing draughts on a large board, diving in the pool and dressing up (mainly in womens clothing).
