Drama made by students at Sir John Deane College in Northwich. A couple are walking in the forest - the girl is approached by a man in a bathrobe, who leads her away. The rest of the film involves her having dream-like encounters with a variety of men (cowboys, gangsters, cultists) before returning to her boyfriend (the preceding adventures presumably being a dream or fantasy of some kind).

The Collin family are seen on holiday at the Gimblet Rock Caravan Camp in Pwllheli - on the beach and at the swimming pool. Back at home in Oldham, the Collins' children are seen washing the car and playing with their presents on Christmas Day in 1968. Richard Collin is seen as a baby with his mother, brother and sister, and at Whitsun in 1969, the family is seen in the garden at home.

The first section shows scouts and guides at the Ynysgain camp in Criccieth, North Wales, where activities include reading, sunbathing, horse riding, hoopla and archery. They also visit a castle. Next, we see a scout trip to Coniston Water where the boys have a go at canoeing, and cook a meal back at the Coniston Hall campsite. A group of teenage boys go to Hulton Park near Bolton where they build and climb rope bridges and zip wires. Finally, there is a brief clip filmed from the television. CHRISTMAS 1968 [AND CHESHIRE SCENES]

Hilda and Roy Garner spend Christmas at home and visit Jodrell Bank on Boxing Day. In February 1969 they watch people sledging and ice skating at The Carrs, Wilmslow. In Spring they admire the flowers in Peover and Prestbury and go for a walk in Nether Alderley. They visit Adlington Hall and St Mary's Church in Nether Alderley, where they also see the flour mill, and return to Peover to see the daffodils. They feed the ducks and watch the yachts on Redes Mere, watch the Rushbearing service at Forest Chapel, walk to the 'Bottom of the Oven' and Wildboarclough and view the ruins of Errwood Hall while walking in the Goyt Valley. Brief views taken from inside moving car are followed by scenes at the Rigby family home in Bickershaw on Christmas Eve - the children are seen playing the piano and going to bed. Scenes from Christmas Day, with the children opening presents, eating dinner with their mother and playing with toys. There is a visit to grandma's house, views of the Bickershaw Walking Day and there are scenes from the Christmas social event at Bickershaw Labour Club with a singer and game of bingo.

Compilation reel featuring the Henderson family - domestic and garden scenes are followed by family trips to Southport, Lake Windermere and the zoo. After shots of a Whit Walk through Sutton, there is extensive footage of the Pilkington Gala parade which includes carnival floats and banners representing different companies and works. At the St Helens Show at Sherdley Park, there are displays of sheep-herding and cavalry. Concludes with further family scenes in the garden, collecting heather in the hills, and visiting the coast. Footage relating to the Thompson family, mainly concentrating on the first few years in the life of Jillian Thompson. Jillian is seen as a baby and toddler - at Christmas, playing with the cat, in the garden, at her first birthday party and on the beach with her parents. Other scenes include the cutting down of a large tree next to a busy road, Mr Thompson's Hi-Fi shop in the snow and the family's relocation from Grasscroft near Oldham to Hale.

The family are seen eating ice cream; mum and daughters playing on the grass, general views of the cliffs and sea. At Carbis Bay Beach they are seen sunbathing and reading comics ('Mandy'). We then follow the family on their journey to Cornwall through the Clifton Gorge and Suspension Bridge. They stop for a picnic near the roadside: general views of the countryside and cars passing by. We see a map of St Ives and views of the town - the main road; harbour; traffic in the narrow streets; buses; the family wandering about the town and on the crowded beach. The girls paddle in the sea and play in the sand; beach huts can be seen in the distance.

Shots include tree felling, road works, the countryside, local roads and amenities in Clitheroe from the perspective of a moving car. The film focuses on local changes, with assistance from a character with a telescope. Traffic is busy and workers construct the Whalley-Clitheroe bypass. A farmer works and watches the construction's progress. Visitors explore Whalley Abbey and its grounds. There are shots of local cottages, a cemetery, and the River Ribble. Inside a house, amateur film makers record musicians as they sing and play guitars. The character enters and assists film makers, who work to sort, prepare and show the film and sound recordings.
