A varied range of footage: scenes of a couple walking along and then driving down an autumnal road; the woman playing with her dog and then the dog begging, playing and sporting a variety of hats; and then scenes on and around Lake Windermere. There are shots of steam trains, of large waves crashing onto Blackpool promenade, footage of the beach and the tower, and then scenes in the Pleasure Beach. There are a series of shots made from the top of Blackpool Tower. Shots of the Fylde coast include cliffs, numerous different boats on the sea, and sand being blown by strong wind from a beach. There is a sequence of historic buildings in Lancaster, a brief scene in Liverpool, shots of dramatic waves and a glimpse of the 1937 Lancashire Royal Tour.

HELEN'S ADVENTURE

Members of the Whitehead family and their friends play various roles in a drama involving 'settlers' and 'bandits'. Every day life on a homestead is disrupted after the men folk embark on a working trip in a forest to cut down trees. Meanwhile a gang of bandits attack the homestead resulting in the kidnap of Helen. But help is at hand from the menfolk after they are informed of the dramatic events. Back at the bandit's camp, Helen manages to attach a note to her dog's collar. Helen is rescued but Jim her husband is badly wounded. Bandit moll Lil becomes infatuated with Jim while he is held at the camp. She releases him, but when her charms are rejected she kills herself. Jim finds his way home and is reunited with Helen and the family.
