Scenes from Macclesfield Carnival, there is a parade of brightly coloured floats and we also see the spectators. There are brief shots of the town centre decorated with bunting, which looks like it could be for the Silver Jubilee. There are general countryside views with shots of sheep, and we see small boys throwing fallen branches into horse chestnut trees to bring down the conkers.

We then see men and women playing cricket, the match seems to be informal with children running on the pitch. They all then break for refreshments.

Aunty Marie sits in the garden while Helen plays and Pat is seen through the window working at the kitchen sink.

We see sand-yachting on a beach, and then the view from the window of vehicle driving down Blackpool Promenade. The film ends with close up shots of a caterpillar.
