A film about ICI's development of a wall cavity filling system which binds together the inner and outer layer of bricks in houses to prevent wall collapse. The foam, 'Tyfoam', is created at the request of Cardiff City Council to remedy a chronic problem in their housing stock, and tested on condemned homes in Oldham. The foam is seen being applied to houses while tenants watch the TV undisturbed.

A man is observed wandering across fields, and the film ends with footage of elderly people and graveyards. Film showing different types of motion - a yellow mini drives through the streets of Salford, encountering captions that introduce three sections. 'Natural Motion' shows swaying leaves and flowers, flowing water and foam on the surface of a river. 'Mechanical Motion' sees machines at work, soap on a conveyor belt, tubes of Colgate being filled, a large drill breaking ground and gravel falling from a digger. The final section section features 'impossible motion', speeded up car journeys, dancing lamps and paper cups, and vanishing cars.
