Scenes from Jillian and John's wedding which took place 1/9/1979 at St. Margaret's Church, Heywood. We see Jillian on the day before the wedding, messing around in the front garden in a fancy dress outfit. On the day of the wedding we see members of the wedding party, and the bride, setting off for the church in the wedding car. We then see people arriving at church. After the ceremony the bride and groom leave the church and scouts form a guard of honour for them to walk through. They pose for photos and mill around outside the church. We then see the reception at a place described as 'The House on the Hill'. There are only brief scenes here where we see the cake being cut. We then see the wedding party back home where they are throwing a party. There are people sat outside in deckchairs and also inside, where there is a buffet.
 
 
 
['THE HOAX' AT LONGSIGHT CARNIVAL '79]

Punk band 'The Hoax' perform on the back of a lorry at the 1979 Longsight Carnival.  The band features Ian Chambers on vocals, Andy 'Fox' Farley on guitar, Steve Mardy on bass, and a pre-Smiths Mike Joyce on drums.  Following their set, the band are seen taking down their gear, while a group of boys mess around with the camera equipment.

A man wearing a bowler hat on horseback leads the 1979 Lower Withington Rose Queen Festival followed by a girls' dance troupe, a marching brass band, tractor-pulled floats and people in fancy dress collecting money for charity. The Rose Queens pass with the current Queen on a car's bonnet and the future Queen in a horse-drawn carriage. The parade arrives at the showground and the coronation ceremony of the Rose Queens begins. The film ends with the prize giving for the fancy dress and decorated floats competitions.

At home, the family gather for Aiden's 2nd birthday. Later, Father Christmas visits the home and gives Christmas presents to Mandy and Aiden. The film ends with scenes of friends celebrating New Years Eve in Manchester Steel Club.
