There are brief shots of the garden undergoing landscaping work, and a skip being lifted onto a truck, before scenes of fireworks in the garden, sledging on the snowy street, and the children playing with toys at Christmas. The chidren are seen trampolining at Macclesfield Leisure Centre, roller-skating and on holiday in North Wales - on the beach, at a fairground and visiting the Duke of Lancaster ship at Mostyn. The film opens with scenes from a wedding. Family and guests including the groom wearing an air force uniform, the bridesmaid and bride with her father arrive at the church. After the ceremony we see the bride and groom walking under a guard of honour. We then see the Brice family gathering at a summer garden party.

We see family members with a baby after a christening. There are brief scenes from a trip to Rhodes. Family scenes from the Leach family, we see the children, Mark and Kathy, having fun at various events. The film opens with Christmas scenes. A mince pie and a glass of sherry has been left for Santa. Mark hangs his stocking and helps Kathy with hers. We then see Kathy crawling up the stairs. There are more Christmas scenes, We see piles of toys and the extended family in the sitting room. The children eat cereals and play with headphones. We then see them in the bath. The children play in a pub car park, and then on holiday they play football on a foreign beach with their Dad. We later see the three of them in a dinghy in the sea. Back home there are more Christmas scenes and we see the children playing in the street. They attend a cricket match and we see them playing on a beach building sand castles and later having a picnic. There are scenes from a family trip to Jodrell Bank, followed by scenes of the children playing in the garden.
 
 
 
[CONGLETON PROCESSION AND MEDIAEVAL TOURNAMENT]

Footage from the two events in Congleton; floats and various local groups are seen processing down a street in Congleton town centre. Floats include depictions of Doctor Who and Playschool, representatives from the Rotary Club and Sale Rugby Club and one from a local pub. Beauty and Rose Queens adorn other floats, and members of the procession include a team of motorcyclists, brass bands, a Chinese dragon and morris dancers. In the 'tournament', fairground rides are viewed, and there are displays by parachutists and the Red Arrows.

The elderly man recites a poem then the family sing Christmas carols while Nicola plays with her toys. Scenic views of mountains and lakes, Mrs Shaw walking the dog and two children play in a yard. A snowy Heaton Park with a frozen boating lake. A windy seafront with large waves crashing onto the promenade. Several generations of the Shaw family at Christmas followed by Mr and Mrs Shaw holding trophies. Nicola does nursery rhymes then Mrs Shaw walks the dog in the countryside The film ends with views of a seaside town and children in a playground on the swings and slide.

Film of the removal of the dome from the tower of the Old Mill in Bamber Bridge. The mill is seen, with wasteground and heavy machinary in the foreground. A workman is seen attaching the winch of a crane to the dome. The dome is winched from the top of a tower and lowered onto a lorry. The film closes with the lorry driving away.
