Shows the action in this Cup Final between Blackpool and Bolton - good shots of the game, and of the crowds. The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh are in attendance and at the end the Queen presents the trophy to the captain of the winning team - Blackpool, and medals to the players. It is Stanley Matthews' first winners medal.

Coronation display at Ewood Park football ground, Blackburn. Features an inspection and parade by the Church Lads Brigade followed by dance and gymnastic displays (including slow motion reverse photography). There are team games featuring members of the Girls Friendly Society. Young boys, dressed as colourful clockwork soldiers, march rigidly then fall down in sequence. There follow displays of maypole and country dancing. The film ends with a ceremony in which a clergyman addresses the crowd in the main stand and a regimental flag is lowered. The film features military, brass and pipe bands throughout. The climax of the football season has over 100,000 spectators at Wembley for the Bolton Wanderers v Blackpool F.A. Cup Final of 1953. After shots of the players getting ready we see the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh arrive and the Duke is introduced to the players. A thrilling match ends in a 4-3 victory for Blackpool and the Queen hands the trophy to the Blackpool captain. Stanley Matthews is seen in the changing room clutching his winners medal.
