| Scenes shot on Armistice Day in Stockport in 1928. A brass band plays on a gloomy day, followed in the procession by a troop of soldiers. Escorted by police, two officers carry a wreath. Joshua Preston, the mayor of Stockport, is seen climbing the town hall steps in full ceremonial dress, accompanied by other civic dignitaries. Another scene shows 'Mayor's Sunday' with a shot of a company of well-dressed men exiting the town hall. | |||

| Varied compilation which begins with a colour sequence (heavily magenta) friends of the Tassell family cycling, swimming and camping around the Solway Firth area. Scenes in Carlisle show the Tassell family photographic business van and shop exterior on Lowther Street. The opening of St Nicholas Bridges on the 15th March 1928 shows Mayor Joseph Henderson cutting the ribbon and then unveiling a memorial plaque. The filmmaker's father Frederick William Tassell is seen amongst a group of councillors listening to a speech during the opening ceremony. St Nicholas Bridges are shown from a moving tram and from the roadside. Other scenes include a procession around Carlisle cathedral during the Mayor's Civic day in 1930, with a sequence showing the Tassell family (filmmaker's mother wears Mayoresses brooch). In 1940 family members gather around St Cuthbert's church for the christening of Archibald Tassell's daughter Tanis, who is later seen indoors with her mother Margorie. There are scenes showing men playing a bowling match, possibly the Carlisle Subscription Club. Concludes with a short colour shot of a person holding a black cat. | |||
