A cruise liner followed by the army firing large guns on the headland in Gibraltar then Mr Riding at the Southport Gate in Gibraltar's city walls. After a walk down by the docks and views of Gibraltar we see people on the deck of a ship. Picking flowers in the garden of a large house then 3 men and a woman frolic in the countryside. Mr and Mrs Riding with a dog by the ruins of a abbey then picnicing by a lake. A baby in a pram, on the beach and on the lawn followed by leaving the hospital with nurses and parents. At the Gezira sporting club in Cairo we see the Riding's playing tennis and swimming then in their garden and picnicing in the desert. After a polo game the Riding's climb a pyramid and take a camel ride to see the Sphinx. Back in England we have croquet on the lawn, table tennis and a girl on a swing. | |||
VISITS TO A SHROPSHIRE FARM | |||

A visit to a Shropshire farm in the spring, we see a farmer ploughing a field with a tractor and later with a horse-drawn plough. Sheep, lambs and cattle can be seen in the fields. In the summer, the family enjoy a picnic in the field together. In the next scene, farmers cut hay and stack it on a horse-drawn cart. A young boy can be seen helping the farmers, according to the film intertitles he was an evacuee who didn't want to go back to London. After feeding the cattle, cows are brought into the farm shed for milking. In September it is harvesting time, a farmer drives a tractor pulling a binder. Women and children pick crab apples. Farmers stack the hay in fields. In Autumn, we see the threshing process using a steam engine. In the orchard, the family pick various fruits. In the damson orchard, a man climbs a tree and shakes the branches knocking the fruit to the ground. The group then collect the fruit in their baskets but leave some for the pigs to enjoy. | |||

The story of a necklace and how it was bought, lost, found, given, exchanged, sold, altered and bought again. The necklace is first bought by a man for his wife. The necklace is subsequently lost when the wife accidentally knocks the necklace into the clothes hamper at home. The next morning, the maid takes the clothes hamper and sends it to the laundrette. A woman working at the laundrette finds the necklace and gives it to her daughter at home. The daughter ends up exchanging the necklace for her friend's ring. The friend pawns the ring to get enough money for a trip to the hairdressers. The pawnshop owner then sells the ring to a jewellers who alters the necklace which in turn is sold back to it's original owner! | |||
