Footage of a holiday tour through Germany - a boat trip past villages and hotels is followed by street scenes in a German resort, a beach with a pier and neat rows of beach huts, the holidaymakers drinking in a bar, visiting Zeebrugge and seeing a monument.
 
 
 
[WALKING DAYS; CORONATION CELEBRATIONS]

Scenes from Warrington walking day, the procession is led by the marching band followed by children with banners and in fancy dress. A street party takes place for the 1937 Coronation celebrations, people can be seen dancing and drinking in the streets. Scenes from Orford walking day includes procession through the streets featuring various floats and children in fancy dress. The crowning ceremony of the Orford May Queen is performed by the Cotton Queen. During Padgate Walking day, marching bands, children of Padgate Methodist church and clergymen can be seen taking part in the procession. Walking Day July 1937, a man sells flowers and another sells biff bats and balloons to children. Nurses can be seen sitting out of a window to get a better view of the procession.

The film opens with scenes from a wedding. The newlyweds pose for the camera with the bridesmaids and there are shots of the wedding guests too. There are scenes from the seafront with people having fun on two seater fun bikes. We see a local cricket match, a man in a vintage car and a woman in the garden. There is an event at home where guests wearing formal dress are greeted by the lady of the house. There are horse racing scenes, the horses race in the distance and there are shots of the spectators. The family's dogs have fun playing in the woods. We see a parade where the floats are heavily decorated with flowers. There are scenes of a crowded beach, some people relax and have fun while others take part in an exercise class. The film concludes with scenes from Greece. We see tourists exploring the Acropolis and there are shots of the local area and the locals, and finally some men jump off rocks to swim in the sea.

Blackpool scenes. We see children playing on the beach, they are very smartly dressed for playing on the beach! They ride donkeys and eat ice cream. There are also scenes from the pleasure beach where we see a rollercoaster. We see children outside a house, a boy plays in a toy car on the driveway. There are shots of a stream and waterfall, followed by shots of the family in the countryside and outside a cottage. Finally we see the family in garden.

The Gee family in a garden, the boys play fight while the adults read. The children play in a hammock. There are scenes shot from a stationary car of a tree lined streets, cars, bicycles and a horse and cart pass by. A van that passes by is marked Greenbank Gatley. The boys play in a stream, followed by a family walk and a picnic in Dane Valley. The large group of family members pose for the camera in front a car, later the younger members of the group enjoy some game while the adults stand chat.

Cars pass through before the film ends with shots of the crowd dispersing (there is a camera fault at this point). The film opens with scenes of salmon fishing, followed by groups of guests at a wedding. Family and guests are shown in and around the grounds and swimming pool at Billinge Scar. A group of men on an "Allotment Unemployed Scheme" play skittles. A troop of girl guides goes through dancing and physical fitness routines on the lawns. A cricket match and spectators are featured; followed by a group of guests posing with a monkey, and ending on more scenes in the swimming pool. There is dancing and singing in the Square, illuminations in the town, and a beacon as part of a national chain.
