The film begins with independantly-made titles by "The Big Boy Film Corporation" depicting the Brookmans Park Golf Club, Hertfordshire. The camera then pans down from the Golf Club flag and over the grounds. Members of the club practice teeing off whilst the camera records them in slow motion. There are brief shots inside the golf clubhouse, depicting men and women drinking in merry celebration . The second half of the film documents the golfer's final putting with slow motion, shots from around the clubhouse grounds. | |||

The 1937 Grand National horse race at Aintree in Liverpool. We see the entire four and a half mile race of thirty riders with horses jumping and falling at various fences. The event is attended by King George VI and Queen Elizabeth who watch the winner 'Royal Mail'. The original nitrate reel is the actual reel viewed by the King and Queen when they stayed with Lord Derby overnight at Knowsley on the day of the Grand National. The film was then sealed into a commemorative can - opened by NWFA 77 years later. | |||

It turns out the man is extremely clumsy and accident prone, he goes on to cause a lot of accidents and mishaps on the site. The film ends with him leaving after he accidentally blows up the house. | |||

Whit-Monday 1937, the Hughes family visit Siddington where they feed swans on Redesmere Lake. In the amateur short film 'False Alarm', Mrs. Hughes baths and dries John before giving him some food. She leaves him in his pram but when she returns she is shocked to find a little girl there instead! Luckily, John was in his playpen the whole time. The next short film is called 'Tragedy' - Mrs. Hughes takes John out for a walk in his pram. She watches a biplane fly in the air, to her horror the plane "crashes." A close up of the "wreckage" shows an unconvincing model aeroplane on the ground. During the 'Nightlife' segment, we see shots of Blackpool illuminations followed by a bonfire and fireworks. | |||

A compilation reel of films made by members of the Warrington Cine Society. Crowds gather to place their bets and watch the horse racing in Daresbury. 'Another Cinema for Warrington' - shows the construction of the new Ritz Cinema in Warrington. In Pickmere, a man sits in a mini steam boat, we also see a close up of the engine. Episode one of 'The Screaming Spectre of Bloodshot Manor' - a short film where the two characters are killed off and viewers are invited to apply for character parts in episode two. The film cuts to Chester Zoo, where we see a variety of animals. A mother and her young child feed the pigeons. In the next segment we see the demolition of concrete supports at the Warrington gasworks site. Due to a shortage of sand in Southport, men have to bring in carloads of sand from elsewhere. In the next scene we see Blackpool illuminations as well as the lights Warrington has to offer. Members of the 'Model Aircraft Society' meet in Orford to display and fly their model aeroplanes. The compilation reel ends with a short film about a dog who finds money to buy himself an ice cream! | |||

At the summit of Junfrau the Wood family throw snowballs at each other then climb some stairs by a waterfall before a phantom car journey through the Swiss countryside. | |||
