Scenes from the Glossop and District Scouts camping trip to Holland in 1978. We see the scouts leave on a coach as their families wave goodbye. We then see scenes from their trip to Holland. They stay at Camping de Tolplas and there are lots of scenes throughout the film of the scouts at the campsite. We see them eating, washing up and larking around. We see them on a cycling trip near the campsite and they visit various places in Holland. They visit the war cemetery at Arnhem, they relax and eat ice cream and chips on the shores of a lake at Oudemeyer, they go for a sightseeing boat trip in Amsterdam and they visit Kampen and Volendam. They also see a demonstration of clog making. There are shots of the English scenery from the coach window on the journey home, including the Woodhead Pass.

The locations include Knowsley Hall, Liverpool Docks, Kirkby Sports Centre, Huyton shopping precinct, Knowsley Safari Park and Prescot street scenes. Presenter Brian Redhead takes a look at the Metropolitan Borough of Knowsley in Merseyside in this promotional film advertising the commercial and general attractions of the area. Beginning with Knowsley Hall, the historic home of the Earls of Derby, we visit a wide range of locations including Knowsley Safari Park, Kirkby Sports Centre, Liverpool Docks, Huyton, Prescot, and see the traditional craft of horseshoeing at Crompton Smithy. Local nightlife is represented with a floor show at Kirkby Suite, and the film also shows the easy transport links for leisure purposes to the Lake District, Southport and Snowdonia.

The Rose Queens pass in a vintage convertible car and horse-drawn carriage. The parade arrives at the showground with the floats followed by the Rose Queen coronation ceremony and the prize giving for the float and fancy-dress competitions. The film ends with children eating in a marquee, as wellas views of flower arrangements and arts and crafts displays.
