Scenes from two Rose Queen festivals, including processions through suburban streets with floats, brass bands, scouts and cheerleaders. On the festival field, after the Rose Queen’s crowning and speeches to the assembled onlookers, there are refreshment stalls and activities including children’s races, a fancy dress competition, an informal game of football, a tombola, skittles, and donkey rides. The reel ends with the blessing of a foundation stone on the site for a new Roman Catholic church.

Schoolboys play 'Ireland vs England' in the grounds of Hollies Convent School, girls in uniform stand and watch, a sign on the school gates reads 'Great International Football Match'. Later the Craven children play together outside their home. The family business truck can be seen parked outside the house. Family and friends at an airfield, some men can be seen flying and looking at various small aeroplanes, includes a shot of the cockpit of one of the planes. A few people go for a ride in one of the planes. Back at the school and the 'England vs Ireland game', the winning team celebrates and play with their friends and family. Later the two teams pose together for a school photograph and receive their trophies. In separate scenes the family spend time together in the garden, the young boy rides his bicycle and the young girl roller skates. Later the two young girls take part in a Whit Walk. Later the adults and children take part in the sports day activities such as sack races and sprint races. Back home the children play leapfrog in the garden.

A wedding party and guests gather outside the Church for photographs, the newlyweds depart in a decorated car. In separate scenes the young toddler plays in the family garden. Shots of the beautiful garden including flower beds, greenhouse and plants. The three siblings then all play together in the garden. The next scenes shows shots taken from within the crowd at a packed Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid (possibly between Real and Athletico). The following scenes show sightseeing shots around the city of Madrid.

The family together for Christmas and enjoy drinks and a buffet. Outside the E.A Craven Potato Merchants warehouse a truck with their logo can be seen arriving to pick up stock for delivery. Later the family spend time together in the garden, the children read from the same book. The children play together indoors as well as out in the street. In separate scenes the little girl is dressed as a fairy as she plays in the street, her brother practices his football skills. Later at a birthday party, a group of children gather round the table to enjoy some birthday cake and sing songs with the adults. Rural and small town scenes including a different family members taking turns to go horse riding. The children enjoy a trip to the beach and swim in the sea.
 
 
 
[MUIR FAMILY ANNIVERSARY PARTY]

The film opens with general scenes from the Muir family. We see the family at home in the house and out in the garden. A woman is helped to ride a bike and men play football in the street. There are then scenes from an anniversary party. The table is laden with food, and people sit around to eat. Some of the guests put on a comedy performance and then there is singing and dancing, including the Hokey Cokey. The guests wear party hats, and the dog is filmed wearing one too. The guests play games, we see them hitting a balloon about and the film ends with scenes of them playing with a hula hoop, with varying degrees of success.

Salford Lads' Club boys are seen leaving the club building in Salford and arriving at London Road Station in Manchester to go to camp in Aberystwyth. On arrival, the lads are seen getting washed and presenting themselves for inspection. A meal is prepared and eaten, and some of the boys are seen washing up afterwards. Drinks are handed out and the whole group poses for the camp photograph. On a day trip to the beach at New Quay, the lads and leaders are seen larking around, relaxing and playing football. A more organised game of football is played back at camp. The lads are seen swimming and diving in the river and on the last day, there is footage of the tents being packed away, and everybody getting onto coaches to go to the station.

The teams are led on to the pitch and shake hands with the Duke of Edinburgh before the game gets underway. The film concludes with brief shots of a procession and a Boys' Brigade camp.
