A film made for Knowsley Borough council showing the positive aspects to life in the area presented by Brian Redhead. The locations include Knowsley Hall, Liverpool Docks, Kirkby Sports Centre, Huyton shopping precinct, Knowsley Safari Park and Prescot street scenes. Presenter Brian Redhead takes a look at the Metropolitan Borough of Knowsley in Merseyside in this promotional film advertising the commercial and general attractions of the area. Beginning with Knowsley Hall, the historic home of the Earls of Derby, we visit a wide range of locations including Knowsley Safari Park, Kirkby Sports Centre, Liverpool Docks, Huyton, Prescot, and see the traditional craft of horseshoeing at Crompton Smithy. Local nightlife is represented with a floor show at Kirkby Suite, and the film also shows the easy transport links for leisure purposes to the Lake District, Southport and Snowdonia.

Scenes from a Moss family holiday in Spain, a group of children holding puppies then in a playground on the seesaw and slide. The Moss children enjoy a donkey ride through a Spanish village then walking by a harbour. After beach scenes a group of children sit at a table eating and drinking. Bull fighting scenes is followed by the Moss children exploring a castle and formal gardens then diving into a swimming pool. The film ends with the children playing in the garden and picking flowers in the countryside.

Farming and family scenes from the Heyes family of Mossborough Hall Farm in Rainford, St. Helens. The film opens with scenes of a mechanical digger parked up, which we later see in use. We then see a family gathering at home, people chat and are encouraged to talk for the camera, but nobody really wants to. An elderly lady plays 'English Country Garden' on the piano. We see a football match, and a herd of sheep being herded down from the hills. A grandmother and her grandson chat in front of the camera. She has been sent a record by Reader's Digest which gives details of how you can win some money, she wants him to listen to it and tell her what to do. We see scenes from the Chipping Show, female Black and White Faced Leicester sheep are being judged and Mr Hayhurst wins the championship. The girl behind the camera films the scenery around the farm on 27 April 1978, and points out sites of interest in the distance, including Knowsley Safari Park, Rainfords Farm, Rainhill Asylum, Fiddlers Ferry, Pilkingtons Head Office, St. Helens, Peasley Cross, Puffing Billy, the Sheet Works, Sir Harry Pilkington's residence, Moss Bank and Fairfield. On 7 September 1978 Mrs Heyes films the altar at Rainford All Saints Church which has been decorated by herself, Helen Fishwick and Alma Howarth for the church centenary. We see snow scenes on 21 January 1979, they are feeding the cattle in Knowsley Park after having six inches of snow. The film ends with scenes of James' 21st Birthday Party. James cuts the cake and Uncle Basil gives a toast before James gives a speech, and we see people dancing.

Promotional events for Whitbread Breweries. We see a Whitbread-sponsored Manchester United football match at Old Trafford. There are scenes from the match and from a reception event afterwards with food and drink. We see a horse drawn cart leaving the brewery and delivering beer to local Whitbread pubs. Crowds of spectators come out to watch. There is a Whitbread tent at a horse racing event. There is a bar in the tent and people sit down to eat. A promotional Whitbread float takes part in a procession in Speke. Whitbread have a stall on the carnival field and the Mayor is shown how to pull a pint. There are scenes from the Whitbread Trophy Northern Golf Tournament. We see scenes from the game and the event afterwards where there are speeches and trophies are presented. We also see footage of the building of houses for Whitbread West Pennines Ltd. The film ends with an assortment of brief scenes, one of which may be of a field of hops.

Promotional film for British Airways highlighting the natural, sporting and cultural attractions that the North West has to offer. This film updates the earlier 1972 version, to reflect the change of company name from British European Airways to British Airways. Aerial footage of the region is interspersed with views of five people from the North West enjoying different leisure activities. There are scenes of the region's industry, education and commerce as well as glimpses of Manchester's night-life, including restaurants, clubs and a Halle Orchestra concert at the Free Trade Hall. The five people are revealed to be members of the same BA flight crew and are seen at Manchester Airport the next day, preparing for a flight to Brussels.

Farming and family scenes from the Heyes family of Mossborough Hall Farm in Rainford, St. Helens. The film opens on 12 May 1980. James Heyes is in a field, he talks for the camera about how the sprout seeds have not germinated due to the recent dry weather, it has been the driest April on record. We then see James playing in a local football match. Mrs Heyes briefly records a visit to Elizabeth and Robin (and their dog Fly) at Hightown on Sunday 2 August. On 11 August 1981 Mr and Mrs Heyes celebrated their Silver Wedding. They talk for the camera about how they have spent the day. Their children James, William and Elizabeth, and Elizabeth's partner Robin and James's partner Fiona Lennon, talk for the camera and give Mr and Mrs Heyes their good wishes. James also talks about how the farm has been struggling over the summer as business has been slow. Mrs Heyes mentions that Mr Heyes has been asked to go hunting with Lord Derby.
