Short comedy featuring the staff and pupils of Liverpool Farm Approved School. 'Cuthbert' leaves home in a taxi and arrives at the school where he is show to his dormitory. He has a run-in with the school bully and there are scenes in the dormitory - getting ready for bed, larking around and having a pillow fight. A dream sequence with the school on fire and the rescue of a boy from an upstairs window is followed by a P.E. lesson, scenes from school camp, a boxing match and a football match, where Cuthbert gets injured and is taken away by horse-drawn ambulance. Preparations for the camp at Dunham Park are followed by footage of scouts boarding buses and arriving at the site. Views of various camp activities including the camp fire, milk delivery, refuse disposal and scout and guide shop are seen, and on Sunday a group of VIPs - including the exiled Crown Prince of Ethiopia, Asfa Wossen - arrive for a church service. Different scout troops participate in a stage show - a cowboy band, morris dancing, gymnastic display and fencing demonstration are seen. The film ends with views of the camp being cleared up and the empty site after the scouts have left. | |||

On arrival, the lads go swimming in the river and are seen preparing and eating sausages and mash. Some are seen washing up afterwards. There is a day trip to Aberdovey, where they all go on a steam boat trip, and on return to camp there is a football match. The boys are seen tidying up and getting washed, and some are seen with lambs on a farm. There is footage of boxing matches and various races during the sports day, with casualties receiving first aid afterwards. They visit the beach and are seen packing up and receiving prizes on the last day. | |||

St Oswalds' walking day is followed by holiday scenes and footage from the Shrewsbury Show. The makeshift band travel to London to perform on Children's Hour on the BBC, and evacuee children arrive in Malpas at the start of WWII.
