A record of local events in and around Chorley. Opens with the royal visit to the town in 1913, including shots of the royal motorcade and crowds beside the specially-erected stage. There follows action from a Lancashire Junior Cup Final football game (featuring the Chorley team) played at Bolton in 1922, with supporters travelling from the train station to the ground. Scenes at the opening of the war memorial in Astley Park in 1924 are followed by a catholic procession through the town on June 20th 1926 and a Walking Day featuring Church of England sunday schools on June 24th 1922. Ends with inter-titles about the 1924 East Ward Carnival but no subsequent footage of the event.

A pageant to celebrate the presentation of a floral clock, statues and ornaments to the children's garden by George Audley. The clock is shown and the audience for the pageant, which consists mostly of dancing children representing the hours. Other performers include people in costume variously dancing and capering, one theme being Captain Hook, as a statue of Peter Pan is featured.
