Scenes from Michael and Pam's wedding, on a wet day. The guests arrive followed by the bridal party. After the ceremony people stand around, photos are taken and confetti is thrown. We then see scenes from reception. The cake is cut and people help themselves to the buffet. People sit at tables eating and drinking and there is some dancing too.

We see boats on the canal, and people playing bowls and the spectators at a bowling green. We see scenes from an event where there is a parade of veteran cars, races for children and donkey rides. There follow scenes from a cricket match. We then see a parade in Macclesfield, there are dance troupes, floats, people in fancy dress and a band. We see the Macclesfield Guardettes, the Droylsden Carnival Princess, NRCO Queen Elaine, Flixton Carnival Queen Diane and the cast of Oklahoma from the Majestic Theatre amongst the floats. We then see a family playing with their dog in the garden, an elderly man doing some gardening, a group of men playing dominoes and a group of people show-jumping.

This film consists of brief shots of various people in different locations. We see Helen and John as babies, the Murphy boys play football in Kerridge, Aunty Marie at home, baby Helen sat in her pram while her mother cuts her nails, Karen poses with flowers then helps Helen learn to walk in the garden. We see Aunty Marie at the door, and then Cheryl is jokingly pulled through a door to pose in front of the camera. We see spectators at a bowling match, amongst them is Ada Warren. Aunty Marie sits with Helen in her pram and Karen is embarrassed to be filmed wearing shorts. We then go to Pott Shrigley where a shepherd helps a sheep to give birth to two lambs, the sheep then licks the lambs clean. There are more scenes of Karen playing in the garden and then there are landscape views shot from Green Lane. We see Tom, Jean and the film maker's mother on the Rec, and then Karen with a hen and her chicks. We then see scenes from Morecambe with Aunty Marie, Graham and his father. There are shots of the sea and people windsurfing and water skiing. We see Margaret Muir, Ron Povey and Alf on the mill car park, and then more scenes from the garden where Cheryl puts make up on Karen.

The film opens with a close up shot of a flower and then we see a traction engine drive down Palmerston Street. We see canal scenes with barges on the canal and a cyclist on the towpath. Karen and Helen do somersaults and handstands in the garden and then we see Karen and Cheryl playing monopoly on a rug in the garden. Aunty Marie sits in the garden while Helen plays and Pat is seen through the window working at the kitchen sink.
 
 
 
IT'S A BOLLINGTON KNOCKOUT

There are various fun activities and teams from local towns compete against each other. Comic story about a couple whose planned day out is thwarted by a broken down car and a passer-by's attempts to fix it. Over breakfast, a husband reluctantly agrees to take his wife out for the day. Whilst waiting for his wife to get ready he washes the car then attempts to start the engine without success. A passer-by offers to help, dons a white coat and mask, and performs an 'operation' on the car engine, removing most of its parts in the process before leaving to go fishing. The wife emerges from the house to discover the mess and, hours later, when the fisherman returns to find the job unfinished she hooks his fishing rod onto a passing car, leaving him to chase after it down the road. A man gardens as a group gathers on deck chairs and picnic blankets in a garden behind a house. The group chats and relaxes together. People sail down the river and enjoy the local beach, village and wildlife. Children paddle along the beach, and play in the boats. The occupants of a boat swim clear as their craft capsizes.

On holiday in Jersey we see the happy couple playing crazy golf, feeding the seagulls and views of the harbour and seafront. A Greek holiday begins with airport scenes and views from the plane followed by sunbathing and exploring an amphitheatre. Swimming in an outdoor pool then in a park a little boy plays on a roundabout and swings.

Children with sunflowers in the garden then scenes from a wedding with the bride and groom posing for photographs with family and friends. After girls dancing in the garden we see a parade with girl guides, boy scouts and brownies marching on a suburban street.
