Amateur film produced by the Warrington Cine Society. Julia's Granny writes a letter inviting Julia to come stay with her and her Uncle John. Julia receives the letter and asks her parents permission to go to which they agree. Uncle John meets Julia at the bus stop. On the way home he stops off at a shop where Julia spots a doll in the window. Back at Granny's, Julia describes the beautiful doll she has seen to Granny over tea. Granny arranges for Julia to do a variety of odd jobs so she can buy the doll for herself. Some of the jobs include doing a neighbours shopping and taking a baby out in a pram, walking a dog and washing a car. She keeps the money she earns in a pot in the living room. Unfortunately, Uncle John has seen the pot and gambles her money away. When Julia finds out she makes Uncle John do her chores to earn her money back. The film ends with Uncle John being chased by the neighbour's dog. | |||

A couple, Norman and Joan are both dressed in military uniforms, get into the Christmas spirit. They do some reading, joke around, kiss for the camera, decorate a Christmas tree and smoke Lucky Strike cigarettes. The filmmaker uses various effects such as reverse motion when Norman is smoking, Nance drinking wine and taking petals off a flower. Fast motion effect is applied to scenes of Nance sewing and of the young boy riding his bicycle up and down a country lane. The film ends with the young boy going to bed and the adults relaxing in the living room. | |||

The woman fries eggs on a camping stove and later makes tea. We see the family washing their faces in the outdoors. The film opens on Tom Jarman playing golf at Bury Golf club. Slow motion shots of him taking a swing are intercut with slow motion shots of builders knocking down a brick wall with sledgehammers. Next we see C. E. Hardman (runner up in the English Amateur Championship 1930) followed by W.B. Mather playing golf. On the 4th of October 1942, an exhibition match was held at Bury Golf Club in aid of the Lord Mayor of London's Air Raid Distress Fund. Seen taking part were golfers Bill Shankland and captain of the Ryder cup team, Charles Whitcombe. The 1920 Open Championship winner, George Duncan can also be seen participating as well as Archie Compston. The film ends with shots of people enjoying refreshments. | |||
