Carson plays a Steinway piano, sings and talks to the audience. Remembrance service and parade in Towneley Park, Burnley on 11th November 1950, featuring civic dignitaries, sea cadets and war veterans. Cadets and veterans march through the park to the war memorial, where a service is held and wreaths are laid by the mayor and other guests. A British Legion flag is lowered and raised as bugles are played, before cadets, decorated veterans and five women parade past the dignitaries in front of Towneley Hall.
