At Cleveleys, a big crowd turns out to watch Concorde flying low along the coast. Dorothy is shown with her granddaughters enjoying the rides at Blackpool Pleasure Beach and there are also shots of the sea front and Illuminations. Comedian Frank Carson arrives by helicopter at the Rossall School fete in Fleetwood, which also features a parachute demonstration. At Fleetwood, a steamer departs for the Isle of Man and a lifeboat is launched. Also features scenes in Scarborough, Knaresborough and Gretna Green. Richard's christening was held on the 5th of September 1971. Friends and family can be seen arriving at St Wilfrid's Church in Grappenhall. After the service, guests make their way to a restaurant for a meal. The film cuts to scenes of Steven riding a mini motorbike in a field. In December, the family celebrate Philip's birthday with a football themed birthday cake. Later, the family can be seen arriving at Hartford Hall in Northwich. Richard's grandmother takes him out for a walk in his pram. Back at home, Richard plays with his stuffed toys. In May 1972, the family go on holidays to Cemaes in Wales where they stay at the Woburn Hill guest house. On the beach, Steven and Philip play football with their grandmother. They go swimming in the sea followed by building sandcastles. The family celebrate Richard's 1st birthday with a mouse themed cake. Out in the garden, Richard plays with his toys and with his brothers. | |||

A large group of family members spend Christmas together packed in to a small sitting room, there are domestic scenes in the kitchen as food is prepared and the washing up is done. We see a couple in the garden, he does the gardening while she puts out the washing. There are family wedding scenes and we see the family out and about on various daytrips. They take a trip to the zoo where we see various animals, and there are countryside scenes where a large group of family members have picnics, sunbathe and go for walks. There are beach scenes too, where the family relax on the beach and eat ice creams on the seafront. | |||

A police car leads troupes of dancers at the beginning of the Barrow parade followed by brass bands, people in fancy dress, decorated floats with carnival queens and several kazoo bands. We next see the kazoo bands on the carnival showground marching in elaborate formations and the Carnival Queens sat on their thrones. Scenes from the TV show 'It's a Knockout' featuring competitors collecting buckets of water whilst wearing roller-skates, heading footballs past a goalkeeper on a trampoline and doing an obstacle course carrying a ladder. | |||

Members of the Young People's Fellowship at Hatherlow devise and star in their own film. Opens with a short comic sketch before the opening titles in which a young boy on the street peers through a window and is scared off by a "lion". A subcommittee then discusses how to make a film that could be shown at club meetings. Each member has a different idea; a spoof tour of Romiley, games and activities at the club, a Frankenstein monster carrying off a girl from a churchyard and a James Bond-style movie featuring a car with special gadgets.
