The Kapur's youngest son Salesh gets his nappy changed on a bench in Kew Gardens, followed by scenes at a garden party at Hillsea Avenue. [SHIPBREAKING AT GARSTON, GLAXO FACTORY DEMOLITION]

Vessels are towed in to be dismantled at Garston beach, Liverpool, by workers at Pemberton and Carlyon Shipbreakers. Salvage and survey vessels 'Salva' and 'Vigilant' (or 'Staunch') are shown in Birkenhead docks and then arriving at Garston to be broken up. There are also scenes from the demolition site of a Glaxo factory in Runcorn, with views over to the Runcorn/Widnes bridge. Concludes with a brief shot of an ornate doorway. Fictional story about two men who go out for a social drink and end up carrying a drunken man across Liverpool. The men go to a working men's club and sit down to chat at a table. It quickly becomes apparent that the man next to them is drunk and after he collapses on the floor they decide to take the incapacitated man home. After a long and arduous journey, punctuated by mishaps and bad luck, they arrive at the man's home. His wife informs them that he was staying at his sister's house next to the club and then asks where his wheelchair is. [RETIREMENT PARTY AND SLAUGHTER OF A SHEEP]

Scenes from Mossborough Hall Farm in Rainford, St. Helens. The film begins with farm workers talking a little for the camera before they cut wood with a chainsaw. We then see them at a staff party, they drink beer and are asked to talk about how they will spend Christmas for the camera. The workers are British, Tunisian and Spanish. We see farming scenes from 24 April 1977. Farm workers put weed killer on the fields of cauliflower and cabbage and another field is prepared for planting celery. We see views of Rainford beyond the fields. There is an interview with Jack who is about to retire after more than 30 years working on the farm. We later see his retirement party, which he shares with Albert who is also retiring. People sit around drinking and talking. There is dancing to folk and contemporary music and the guests are asked to talk for the camera. We also see a sheep being slaughtered by traditional methods of slaughter demonstrated by Tunisian farm workers, who then butcher the carcass.

The miscellaneous film opens on shots of a trip to the beach. The film cuts to Wood Top farm where a new calf has been born. In the next scene, a bride and groom stand outside the church and have photographs taken. In the Kelsall family garden, a young child bottle feeds a lamb. Back on the beach, the children play a game of cricket. The family go for a walk around the Forest of Bowland. At a local sports day, parents and children take part in a variety of races including egg and spoon and sack races. The film ends with shots of the Kelsall family opening presents on Christmas morning.

[MOTORCROSS EVENTS]

Steven practices his motorcycle riding skills with the help of his father, John. Steven rides his motorbike through shrubland, John performs a few tricks on his bike. On April 1st 1979, John takes part in a race at Hawstone Park Motocross Circuit near Market Drayton. The film cuts to June 1980, Steven rides his motorbike down the road, his L plate can be seen in the front of his bike. The film ends with Steven having his own car (complete with L plates) and driving his parents and brothers home from his grandparents.
 
 
 
[FARM; HOLIDAY TO MAURITIUS; FAMILY]

Farming and family scenes from the Heyes family of Mossborough Hall Farm in Rainford, St. Helens. The film opens in 1977 with shots of a fire in Simonswood Moss, the lady filming the fire talks about the efforts to extinguish it. We then see a business meeting. Mr Heyes shows a distributor examples of his packaged vegetables, and they discuss where demand for these goods would be. James Heyes lands back in the UK. He is filmed arriving at Manchester Airport and then back home he discusses his trip to Melbourne and Bangkok for the camera. In 1978 a man sits by 'The White Man' in Knowsley Park, he talks about the weather and points out the cars in the distance queueing to get into Knowsley Safari Park, and the 'Great Lake'. William Heyes is then filmed in Knowsley Deer Park with his cattle which are grazing there. This is followed by scenes of potato harvesting. We then see a family holiday to Mauritius. We see the family on the beach and attempting to catch fish. Local children sing for the camera and they film a local man descaling a fish. The family go to see giant tortoises. Back home they show their holiday photos to other family members. On 12 May 1980 we see Bill Langton and Tony Watkins harvesting vegetables, and on 15 May 1980 we see the fields being watered due to the recent spell of dry weather. On 8 June 1980 we see a lorry packed with Knowsley Salads which are ready to by transported to Covent Gardens by Transfleet Wagons. The film ends with scenes from 31 August 1980 of a family picnic in the back garden, two of the children present introduce themselves as Nicholas Preston and Victoria Hudson.
 
 
 
[SILVER JUBILEE YEAR ON FYLDE COAST AND OTHER SCENES]

Assorted footage featuring Dorothy and Thomas Hodkinson outside their bungalow, in different locations on the Fylde Coast and beyond. A Silver Jubilee tram is seen at Cleveleys and there are shots of Blackpool featuring the sea front, views of Stanley Park and rides at the Pleasure Beach. A royal visitor (believed to be Princess Anne) arrives by helicopter for an event at Rossall School in Fleetwood which features various displays and activities. The Hodkinsons visit Steamtown Carnforth and Hornsea Pottery in Lancaster before the film ends with shots of the Thornton Cleveleys Relief Road under construction. The family are seen with visitors from Australia at Blackpool, at Southport, canoeing with the scouts at Brabyn Park, Marple and at the artificial ski slope at Counthill, Oldham.
